Mitch here, That white thing to the top right is throwing off the feel of the rest of the piece. Its emphasizing that more than the mask and beads. Try to put more emphasize on the mast rather than that feather looking thing, perhaps more use of color and there different shades/hues. An addition of one or more colors next to your existing colors will do a lot.
Great Idea! I really like the idea of the turquoise mask especially when it reflects it so well. However, I think the feathery thing on top can be simplified so that it doesn't overpower the whole piece. Again... great job! Once the feather object gets simplified, I believe it could be a solid piece.
I like the green background but maybe a pink will make the torquoise pop out....the feather on the top is a lil distracting because it looks more realistic than the other parts of the piece. Other than that it looks excellent!
The eye slits on the mask look a little sinister. It might just be the color of the slits. That white piece on the mask is not reading as a feather. Try drawing a feather. It does have be perfect. You might want to rethink running the beads through the eye. It looks great.
